Quinta dos Arnaut

Lá em baixo, planando com elegância sobre o vale que conduz a Arruda, uma águia mantém uma especial atenção sobre a mata de carvalhos e ao longe, onde o declive da montanha cede lugar ao horizonte, o Tejo corre tranquilo.

Por aqui, longe das atenções da águia, chapins, carriças, melros e piscos-de-peito-ruivo alimentam-se por entre as quinhentas espécies botânicas do Arboreto da Quinta.

Down below, gliding elegantly over the valley leading to Arruda, an eagle keeps a close eye on the oak forest and in the distance, where the slope of the mountain gives way to the horizon, the Tagus runs quietly.

Here, far from the attentions of the eagle, black redstarts, robin redbreasts, blackbirds and other small birds feed on among the five hundred botanical species of the Quinta dos Arnaut’s Arboretum.
